The Governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode has defected from All Progressives Congress APC to the People Democratic Party PDP. Ambode to publicly announce his defection any moment.
A reliable source close to the Governor disclosed to Mystatenews that Ambode has decided to move on to the People Democratic Party over the controversy surrounding his re-election bid. He will pick the PDP nomination form to contest against whoever the APC will present.
All efforts made by the Governor to win Tinubu heart back to him has failed.  Tinubu has remained adamant despite numerous intervention from APC leaders.

President Buhari had tried to convince Jagaban to consider Ambode’s re-election bid but it did not work out. President Muhammadu Buhari, Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi and Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, effort to save Ambode failed
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the National Chairman of APC Adams Oshiomhole have also intervened but failed to secure Tinubu’s support for Ambode. They could not persuade Tinubu to “forgive” Ambode his alleged infractions and back the governor to secure a second term.

The last attempt of the Wife of Governor Ambode to plead to Tinubu to forgive her husband did not yield any positive result. Bolanle Ambode worked up to Tinubu during the APC Mega Rally held in Osogbo and tried to pacify him to change his mind. But Tinubu joking ignored her.

Tinubu had refused to back Ambode’s second term ambition despite pleas by notable people in the state and the country.

As all attempts to win Bola Tinubu’s heart has failed. Governor Ambode has decided to join the People Democratic Party PDP to actualise his re-election bid. Governor Ambode defects to PDP.
