The resolve of Ekiti Government of Dr. Fayemi to leave Fayose, the ex governor of Ekiti to God should not come as a surprise to anybody in view of the monumental shady deals witnessed in the State within the period of the last administration. The body language of government Fayemi has also portray it long ago that Ekiti should prepare their minds for another round of excuses of paucity of funds for developmental projects after the few months honey moon.

Ekiti people were made to understand by the transition committee that the last administration left the State with loan exposure of up to 120b of which there are no correspondence projects to justify this huge and humongous debt whereas the last administration was claiming they never borrowed a dime throughout the administration of Fayose/PDP. It is either the Transition Committee was economical with the truth or there is grand conspiracy to deceive the electorates so as to loot their own by the present administration.

The resolve of Fayemi not to call for accountability and refund of any embezzled money by the last administration is laying credence to the rumour that soft landing agreement has been agreed by Fayemi which is highly unfortunate for our dear State.

Leaving Fayose in the hands of God for impoverishing the State with huge outstanding loan is a great stab in the back by every Ekiti sons and daughters who expect the creation of new beginning in which a good foundation to cub misappropriation of funds by public office holders will be enshrined. The singular action is a pointer to what to expect from the present administration and what to expect from future administrations.

Finally, governor Fayemi must know that the system of chop and go with your loot is not going to go down well with the future generations, to lay a good foundation of even development of our dear State, corruption of political class must be reduced for funds to be made available for developmental projects.

It is never too late to carry out forensic audit of the records of the last administration and forward to the appropriate authority while Fayemi face the governance.

Ekiti reject government of "chop and let me chop my own ".
